Our Local

Situated in a picturesque valley on the Gloucester River, an easy two and a half hour drive north of Sydney, Gloucester is traditionally the centre of a rich beef, dairying and timber district and is within easy reach of several World Heritage wilderness areas in the National parks and State forests.

Gloucester is a busy and prosperous country town with its own friendly atmosphere surrounded by natural beauty. Community spirit is alive in Gloucester and very congenial towards new business and industry.

Activities are wide in range. Gloucester is definitely an area of outdoor pursuits, from canoeing on the area’s pristine rivers, fishing, horseback riding, mountain biking, golf, tennis, swimming and hundreds of kilometres of fabulous bushwalking available in the Barrington Tops and Bucketts Range.

With five mountain fed rivers running through the area, outstanding wilderness mountains and only an hours drive to the beach. Gloucester has an idyllic living environment to offer and has now been “discovered” by the people from Sydney and the Central Coast. Property and lifestyle blocks are now in high demand within the area.
